If you would like to join the Grace King Fighting Irish Band, there are a few things you must first do. You MUST have a band class in your schedule and must participate in at least two of the three bands offered. The three bands are the Marching band, the Symphonic band, and the Jazz Ensemble. Also, you must already play an instrument or be willing to learn a new one. The school also owns many different instruments so if you don't own your own, you could always borrow a school instrument.

Advantages of Joining
There are many reasons to join the G.K. Band. First, you get to meet many new people and have lots of friends. We go to almost all football games, cheer for the team, and best of all, do an awesome field show. We have two concerts a year held in our gym, a Winter Concert and a Spring Concert. We participate in many competitions throughout the year such as Solo & Ensemble and Superintendents Festival. We also have a food and beverage booth at the Superdome where anyone over 16 can work during football games and other events to help raise money for their Spring Break Trip. This year we are planning to go to the Bahamas!!!
